Investment program (strategy)

The main financial instrument classes in which investments are made include shares and equity-related financial instruments. Investments may also be made in financial derivatives, alternative strategy funds, real estate funds, bonds, including high-yield non-rated bonds and developing countries bonds.

The strategy is implemented by adhering to the best practice principles of socially responsible investment. The fund has been chosen considering its responsible investment practice and observance of sustainability principles.

The investment trend is meant for investors aiming at long-term capital gain growth and plan the investment at more than 5 year horizon.

Investment Team

By this investment trend, investments are made in “SEB Pension Extra” fund, which is managed by “SEB Investment Management AB”, member of the SEB Group.

The fund’s base currency is Swedish krona (SEK), however, the fund’s assets may be invested in other currencies, for instance, the fund’s net asset value may be recalculated (and the fund units may be marketed) in the euro. Foreign currency exchange rates fluctuation risk may be hedged using financial derivate instruments.

The fund’s investment units are valued every working day of the fund. Generally, investors can buy or sell units of the fund on any bank business day in Luxembourg except 24 and 31 December. Investment unit prices are announced every working day of the fund at the website of “SEB Investment Management AB”: www.sebgroup.lu.

Risk of Investment Trend

The investment trend risk is limited, as there is the maximum allowable risk established for the fund in which investments are made. The risk is managed through spreading the fund’s investments by various asset classes.

Risks which have an impact on the value of investments by the investment trend: credit risk, counterparty risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, currency risk, financial derivative instruments risk, interest rate risk.

    Means the life insurance trade’s accounting currency.
    The fund invests in emerging markets which can be subject to economic and political instability, possibility of large currency fluctuations or low liquidity in local markets.
    Means risk-reward ratio of investments by a relevant investment trend.

The goal of the mutual fund establishment is to pool funds of the above-mentioned persons through placement of investment units and invest them in securities and other liquid assets under collective investment scheme.
    Means any financial instrument, which derives its value from the value of some other financial instrument or variable (commodities, bonds, equities and currencies).
    The fund may use derivatives, these are financial instruments whose value depends on the value of an underlying asset. Small price changes in the underlying asset can result in large price changes of the derivative.
    The fund invests directly or indirectly in bonds or other fixed income related instruments. If an issuer of a bond fails to pay the interest and principal amount on time, the bond could lose up to its entire value.
    Some of the assets of the fund may become difficult to sell at a certain time and for a reasonable price.
    The risk of loss resulting from e.g. system breakdowns, human errors or from external events.
    Means an instrument that enables within a short-term to convert invested capital into cash without any loss. Money market instruments include cash, bank deposits, T-bills (short-term T-bills with a 1-year maturity) and investment funds.

    Means the statistical ratio showing mutual fund’s weekly yield performance within a year compared to the weekly average yield. The higher the ratio, the higher investment volatility Standard deviation shall be calculated taking into consideration the investment return in the Euro.

    Means investment portfolio management methods, which were profitable at normal market conditions and which may turn to be unprofitable or even rendering a loss in abnormal circumstances.
    The fund invests in securities that are issued in currencies other than the base currency of the fund. As a result the fund is subject to currency risk, which arises from changes in the exchange rates.
